The Institute for Sustainability Research(ISR) is affiliated with the Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). It was established in 2019 to provide convergent research and content necessary for companies pursuing the public interest of the region, the country, and humanity through creating social values and following economic profits.

 We aim to contribute to sustainable development through not integrated research and education to improve social and corporate sustainability as well as domestic and international academic exchange.

To this end, we have been leading the way in conducting research on sustainability and ESG management within universities and have opened and operated a course for sustainability management and ESG for university students who are protagonists of future generations.

In addition, to expand a base of research on sustainable development, we have continued academic exchange and multilateral research cooperation with universities and research institutes active overseas.

We seek to lay a theoretical foundation for sustainable society and companies and serve as a guide through specific principles and examples. We want to ask for a lot of interest and support.
